This may be something only Americans are concerned with, but it's something all Americans should know about and do: Record the police when you are pulled over!
I'll be home this summer traveling from NY out to california and back, and there's a very good chance I may be pulled over. When that happens, guess what I'll be doing.

Daniel DG Kim
Daniel Kim is a Korean-American gyopo from Korea and Texas who made his debut on KRTV.tv yesterday with a bang. I had been stalling on editing his short piece for a number of reasons, but mostly because I just have a lot of projects on 'back order'.
Below is Daniel DG Kim's piece working in collaboration with Zal Slim in our Fall 2011 Fashion Modeling Shoot.
Daniel has been pursuing professional photography since arriving back to Seoul after more than 20 years living in the U.S. His work is phenomenal. Best of all, he bridges the gap between western native English-speakers, and Korean speaking Koreans because of his bilingual ability. His bilingualism has proven to be a true asset to his photography career in Korea.

How cool is Project Glass?
What will the future hold?
As we inch deeper into the 21st century, the rate at which technology advances is speeding up. Don't take my word for it, it's true.
This video exemplifies only the beginning. Realistically speaking, technologically advanced glasses such as those in the video will be so old news, say, 20 or so years from now.

Jesse Day
My very first interaction with Jesse was when he requested me to turn off the camera. Ever since them I've been doing nothing but recording him.
We hung out this past Sunday when he agreed to interview with me about the Canadian perspective on the American Dream. I became originally interested in Jesse when I found out that he wasn't teaching in Korea at all, and has been supporting himself as an actor here for more than 2 1/2 years!
I had no idea how fluent he was in Korean until afterward when we were kickin' it socially.
Check out the following video and prepare to be impressed.
It's always a good thing to see an expat as fluent in Korea as he is.

Drinking on the Seoul Subway
Don't get me wrong, I've smuggled the late night can of beer from time to time onto the subway for the long ride home back to Suwon. But a tall boy like the lady has in this video? In my 3 1/2 year here, I've never once seen a woman with the big can like she has here. And don't interrupt her smoking, because she'll dowse you with it!

The case for a feature length movie

To call oneself anything is to, in a way, declare your identity.
About two years ago I changed the signature on my main email address to 'filmmaker'. And so it was, I became a filmmaker. Now when I surf the web in search of things I like, like documentary film, it becomes quite evident how many filmmakers there actually are out there. It never used to be like this.
To me, it's crazy how the web has changed the world. What was once a very selective, very difficult industry to break into is now wide open for anyone with a camera, a Mac, and some time on their hands. Well.. and the will to do it of course. There's no guarantee you'll be any good at it, but the opportunity is right there, staring you in the face, waiting for you to realize it. In 2012, it couldn't be easier, nor cheaper.
So now more than 2 years in, with the website launched and functioning properly, and quite a few short documentary movies completed, I believe it's time to take the next step. It's time to embark on a feature length movie. It's time.

Cambodia: A Must See
Steph and I spent two weeks last winter visiting three countries in Asia:
Singapore, Malaysia, and Cambodia. While all three are spectacular and worth a visit, we both agree that Cambodia made the biggest impact on us.
Case in point: the magnitude that is Angkor Wat, and Angkor Thom
We had set out to film some of our experience in that trip, but nothing could prepare us for what we saw on that first day visiting those ruins. It's a good thing we had both our cameras with us that day.
That evening we returned to our awesome hotel (highly recommended btw) for a shower and some dinner. Afterwards plopped ourselves down in a cool night spot for a few drinks and some serious research. We were planning for the following two days of exploring and filming.
The video above is, in part, the result of our sincere interest in Cambodian history born out of our visit there. As far as I'm concerned, Cambodia, Siem Reap, and the temples of Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom are a must see before you die.
