Korean Drama Themed Painting

Yesterday we went to the art store together to buy a bunch of canvas for Steph.  This trip was to attempt to make it easier for her to paint whenever she feels inspired.

We spent about $65 American on supplies so she would feel stocked and prepared for the next however long into the future.  Our purchase included 8 canvases of varying sizes, which to me seemed like more than enough surface to paint on for at least a week.  Boy was I wrong.  I was so shocked last night that I made this short vlog to go more into detail about her accomplishments.

Steph is working on a summer collection of artwork to compliment her drama reviews on YouTube.  Because this idea is so new to us we still have not etched out the final details.  One of the goals is to paint or create a piece of artwork for each of the 2012 or 2013 Korean dramas that she has reviewed.  We do like the direction it is taking us, because together we feel a renewed sense of happiness in our relationship, and purpose in our life.

Too much detail?  It's not like a lot of people are reading this anyways.

Best Korean Dramas of 2012

I hate to admit the fact that, everyday, I'm learning more and more about Korean dramas. When I think about it, the feeling deep inside me is one that I can't quite put an adjective on, but if forced to identify it would be most closely related to confusion. It's not a negative confusion, just confusion. After all, I don't necessarily like them any more than when I knew nothing about them. I just know more about them than ever before, and still don't really care for them that much. But this does NOT mean that I am not interested in them.



Which brings me to our latest video: The Top 5 best Korean Dramas of 2012. Steph and I completed this video just this past Friday for our Top 5 Fridays themed videos.

Things I could tell you (if you asked me) about Korean dramas that I can't believe I could possibly answer:

1. Lee Min Ho is in none of the dramas in Steph's Top 5 list
2. Jang Geun Suk is also in none of them. (Amazing since he's Steph's favorite actor)
3. Mickey Yoochun is. (Who is he?)
4. Missing You (보고싶다 in Korean language) is wildly popular here in Korea and abroad, and is a makjang tale that spins almost completely out of control.. even though I have not seen a single full episode.
5. I know what a makjang is.
6. I could go on..

Truth be told, it's interesting for me to learn about all this. I'm not sure why, but it is. I can be illogical if I like, can't I?

Full House Take 2 풀하우스TAKE2

This Korean drama is the sequel to one of the most popular and successful Korean dramas of all time, Full House. Tall task to live up to. And of course it doesn't. Not sure what Koreans think about this sequel, but I can tell you as, a novice to Kdramas and dramas in general, the international community is not too keen.
